Getting around in Cyprus

Let's take the most common scenario - you have flown into Paphos and have a villa somewhere near Coral Bay. What next?

Bus Service

Well there is a bus service from the airport and it is only 3 euro for adults and less for children (well it was in late 2009). So that looks like a good deal. But it may not be. The service between Paphos and Coral Bay is terrific, but from the airport it's a less frequent service, and doesn't necessarily stop as near to your villa as you would like when you have suitcases. So a taxi transfer is often a better plan, especially if you pre-book and have someone waiting, with your name on a sign, and knowledge of where you want to go. Once the cases are in the villa, whenever you want to go out you will find the bus service up and down the coast road really convenient, and only €1.50 per journey.
